The "Places" album shows some of my favorite photography locations, but I try to limit the number of images in each location. This self-imposed limit is torture, especially as I try to balance my favorites with an attempt to show representative views.
"Places" currently includes: ITALY (recent trip combining many places), Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Since the end of my diving experience, I live much of my photographic life photographing landscapes. Travel has always been a favorite pastime, and I enjoy exploring the beauty of what nature has to offer. Landscapes is such a broad category, I have somewhat arbitrarily broken it down into several subcategories. Some images either may not seem to fit, or they could fit in multiple subcategories.
For twenty years, I had the thrill of enjoying the underwater world with my wife, Sandy. I became a scuba instructor in 1983, and Sandy & I led adventure diving trips in the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Micronesia. My camera then was primarily a Nikonos 5 and the medium was slide film. Included for now are a dozen images. More will be added if I get back to scanning old slides!
People are the subject, sometimes posed and sometimes candid. While portrait photography is not my forte, I enjoyed taking a class in portraiture a number of years ago. Over the years during certain events, it has been fun capturing people through my lens.
